Support for the Dying & Their Families
When death is near, End-of-Life Doulas can provide spiritual, emotional, and logistical support to to the dying and their families. End-of-Life Doulas may help reveal possibilities for healing ranging from home vigils and visitations to the arrangement of memorial services or funerals.
After a death occurs, gathering of friends and family can be an important part of the healing process. Families are increasingly choosing to delay or skip ceremonies, especially in the midst of the global pandemic, which may delay or prolong the grieving process or result in a lack of closure. While we do not offer memorial services at our facility, we highly encourage families to plan some sort of service, whether you plan it yourself, through your spiritual community, or with one of the resources listed below.
