Jordan Carl Williams

August 3, 1989 - November 22, 2021

Jordan Carl died suddenly and tragically on November 22. He was 32 years old.

Jordan was born at Pease Air Force Base in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. During his early years he was raised in various places, spending most of his young life in Maine.

He moved to Denver 10 years ago and made this beautiful piece of earth his home.

Jordan always had an adventurous spirit and lived life on his own terms. He loved skiing, hiking, music, live bands and burning rubber on his motorcycle.

He was articulate and so smart. He could fix anything and build anything. He was always working on something or for someone. He enjoyed landscaping, working on cars and bikes and was a talented carpenter and finish carpenter. His carpentry work and finish work are simply beautiful. He was always tinkering or creating something.

He was very proud of his work.

Jordan loved spending time with his sister, shredding the snowy trails or hiking in the wilderness. He was a role model and confidant to his brother, Joel. He deeply loved his Gram and Gramps who were his second parents.

He had a green thumb for growing, cultivating and enjoying MaryJWanna, and most recently developed a talent for making moonshine. He had wonderful friends here in Denver that he considered family. Jordan absolutely loved animals, especially dogs. It filled his heart to take his “ kids” Kodiak and Noki to the parks and on hikes through the woods and on the trails.

From his sister Jenn:

“Jordan will be remembered as a fiercely loving friend who was always up for a good time - whether that meant going to a show at Red Rocks, cruising around on his motorcycle, hiking around the beautiful trails of Colorado, or even just sitting back and enjoying a nice big bong rip. He had many different sides that could be appreciated by all who were lucky to know and to love him. Jordan could be a real softy, especially when it came to dogs. He seemed to never be without a furry pet who he loved to take funny pictures of and go on adventures with. His big heart extended to his human friends, too, who knew he would always be there to stand up for and to protect the people that he loved. Though he was compassionate and giving, Jordan could also be a dink! ... (but in an endearing sort of way). He would give you the shirt off of his back if that was all that he had left, and then cackle at you mercilessly as you tripped over the front step on your way out the door. I’m sure everyone will always remember his laugh. In the end, we all become stories, and this holds true for Jordan. Though he is not physically with us anymore, Jordan lives on in memories of his friends and family.”

Jordan leaves behind his beloved dogs, Kodiak and little Noki, his mother, Jackie Williams of Vassalboro Maine, his sister Jennifer Williams in Big Sky, Montana, his brother Joel Williams of Vassalboro Maine, Grammie and Gramps, Genevieve and Carl DuBois of Clinton Maine, uncle Jon DuBois of Shawmut Maine, aunt Joanie and Uncle Curt Hathaway of Pittsfield Maine, Godmother Aunt Bethany Childs-Redmond of Skowhegan Maine, Grandfather Scott Bonnell of Largo, Florida, and several great aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is predeceased by his stepfather, Joel Williams.

Jordan lives on in our hearts, in the earth, in nature and in Heaven. He would not be content to be a shining star in the sky, but the brilliant star on fire shooting throughout the universe.

A memorial service is forthcoming here in Denver arranged by Jordan’s close friends; date and time to be posted soon. A memorial service in Maine will be held in the spring.

Contributions to any animal shelter would be a beautiful way to honor to Jordan.
