Amy Halliburton Obituary Denver, CO

Amy Joy Halliburton, 40, of Centennial, CO, passed away on Friday, April 21, 2023.

Amy was a Colorado native, born to David and Connie Reed of Parker, CO, on July 23, 1982.
Amy grew up in Littleton and Parker, CO and graduated from Ponderosa high school in 2001. After graduation, Amy went on to complete a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Metropolitan State University of Denver. She spent the next ten years working in cardiac rehab where she was able to impact the lives of her many patients leading them through their recovery with compassion and a great sense of humor.

She met her husband, Logan, in 2008 on a blind date set up by Logan’s sister Lauren. Both total weirdos, they complemented each other perfectly. They were married the following year on June 12, 2009. In 2013 they brought home their twins Nova Leigh and Dax Logan. Two years later they welcomed Kai Michael and their family was complete. Amy’s joy in life came from her family. She was a devoted mother, and her three children were the light of her life.

Amy left a positive impression on every person she met. She had a generous heart and welcoming smile. She never resisted her instinct to be silly and couldn’t pass up an opportunity for a punchline. Even through the last few years of cancer treatment she could still be counted on for a good laugh. She lived up to her middle name, Joy. It’s who she was and what she brought to our lives. She was a genuine person to everyone she knew. She had a way of making you feel understood while simultaneously teaching you not to take yourself so seriously. Whether you knew her as Amy, AJ, Ame-wad, Joy Joy, Ames, Weirdo, Little Debbie, or Mom, the weight of her absence will be felt for a long time, however; you no doubt have a memory of her close to your heart that brings you a smile or possibly even a laugh.

She is survived by her husband Logan Halliburton, their three children, Nova, Dax, and Kai, all of Centennial, CO, her parents David and Connie Reed of Parker, CO, her sisters Sonya Lake (Tom) of Phoenix, AZ and Stephanie Healy (Ryan), her brother Tyler Reed, her grandmother Annette Reed, all of Parker, CO, her basement gnome, Lucy Hinesley, who was promoted to the main floor in recent years, and many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins whom Amy loved dearly.

She is preceded in death by her grandfather Everett Reed and her grandparents Frank and Dorothy Larson.

Out of respect for Amy’s wishes there will not be a service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to a charity or organization that you feel would honor Amy best.
