Romeo Patacsil Singson

October 25, 1936 - September 4, 2023

Romeo Singson passed away on Labor Day doing what he loved - taking a walk, having lunch with Victoria, his wife of 62 years, and mowing the lawn of his home in Lakewood.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, four sons: Vencent, Rodney (and his fiancé, Debby), Patrick, and Gerald (and his wife, Suzanne); grandchildren: Tyler (Rod's son) and his wife, Katie; Victoria (Tori), Cara, and Ben (Gerald and Suzanne's children) and great-grandchildren; Clementine and Calvin (Tyler and Katie's children). He also leaves behind his beloved sisters, Pacita Ismael and Elizabeth Fontanilla, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Born just prior to WWII, Romeo experienced Japanese occupation and post war recovery. He immigrated from the Philippines, to Guam and to the states. He and Victoria paid it forward by opening their home to his extended family and supporting their immigration journey. He repaid his citizenship several times over committing to public service for 40 years as an Engineering Technician with the National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management.

He made the foothills of Colorado his home for over 50 years and spent time camping and hiking with his family throughout the western US. He loved visiting and doting on his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Romeo enjoyed tending to his home and garden in Lakewood. Most of all, he loved his wife, as they followed their dreams- buying homes and raising four boys. He followed her into becoming a disciple of Supreme Master Ching Hai and living a vegan lifestyle with daily meditation. He was active into his 80's doing yoga, Ping Shuai Gong, walking in the park and yardwork.
