Mary Elizabeth Dombkowski

June 17, 1937 - December 28, 2023

Mary Elizabeth Dombkowski passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on December 28th, 2023 in Lakewood, Colorado after an 8 year struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP).

Mary was born on June 17th, 1937 in Mount Ayre, Iowa to Fay and Lenore Bryant. In 1945 the Bryants moved to Colorado where she attended school in Boulder and graduated from Colorado Women’s College. She is survived by her loving daughter, Kristi King; her sister Norma Prestrud; nephews Paul Prestrud and Mark Bryant; nieces Sherry and Natalie Prestrud and Claudia Ostler. Mary is preceeded in death by her parents, her brothers Andy and Robert Bryant.  

Mary lived in Dillon, Colorado working for Amax Molybdenum in Leadville and relocated to Lakewood in 1974 as an Administrative Assistant, retiring in 1999.

Mary was known for her incredible sense of humor, contagious smile with an unconditional love for animals.

She was loved & will be missed by many.

The water from Mary’s Water Cremation at Be A Tree will be placed in Evergreen Memorial Park. A Life Celebration for Mary will take place at a later time.
