Patrick “Pat” Joseph Keenan

January 16, 1959 - February 5, 2025

Patrick “Pat” Joseph Keenan, age 66 of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 peacefully in his home surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness.


Born January 16, 1959 in Fort Knox, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Barbara “Girlie” Jackson Keenan and Jasper Earl Keenan. He was raised in Louisville, Kentucky. After graduating high school, Pat enlisted in the United States Air Force where he proudly served for 10 years. After completing his enlistment, Pat entered the workforce as an IT specialist where he worked for several companies before retiring in April of 2024.


On September 2, 2006 Patrick married Margaret Renee Reynolds (McAdams) and together they shared 16 wonderful years of marriage before her passing on July 18, 2022. They resided together in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where they shared years of laughter, love, and joy. Patrick gave his entire heart to those he cared for, loving his children and family no matter if they were by blood or by marriage.


Patrick was a thrill-seeker who had many different hobbies and passions. He loved to be outdoors, where he would dirt bike, drag race, camp, or simply go for a drive through the mountains. When he wasn’t outdoors, he would be working on home renovations, cooking, or spending time with his family watching movies. An amazing teacher to all, Patrick never passed on the opportunity to help his family and friends.


He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Margaret Keenan; and granddaughter Adinah Quezada


Patrick is survived by his six children, Daniel Sanchez and wife Tammy, Sean Long and husband Rocky, Jonathan Keenan, Sarah Quezada and husband Tony, Ashley Keenan, Devin McAdams and husband Cody; eight grandchildren; nine siblings Arlene Schilb, Douglas Keenan, Gary Keenan, Bobby Keenan, Linda Keenan, Nancy Keenan, Judy Keenan, Tommy Keenan, Mary Keenan; and several nieces and nephews.


Patrick has requested to be cremated by water, and his ashes spread among his most cherished places.

A celebration of life will take place at Pat’s home on February 22, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Please contact his family for details.
