Sharon Grant

Sharon Grant, 74, of Arvada, Colorado passed away on February 13, 2021 surrounded by her children, Shannon and Derek Snyder and their spouses.
Sharon was born in Michigan and grew up near Chicago, Illinois with her siblings Paul, Chuck, Tom, Barbara, Pat, Marylin, Lois and their parents Joseph and Elsie Lucas. Sharon graduated from Thornton High School in Harvey, Illinois. Following a marriage and subsequent divorce, in the summer of 1982 Sharon, Derek and Shannon moved to San Antonio, Texas, where Sharon later met the love of her life, Don Grant.
In 2001, Sharon and Don married and moved to Boise, Idaho to retire, where they spent several happy years together enjoying the natural beauty of the state. After the passing of her husband, Sharon eventually moved back to Texas in 2015 where she enjoyed volunteering at Methodist Hospital in Richardson and spending time with friends and family. She then moved to Colorado in 2018 to be near her children.
Sharon loved spending time tending to her community garden plot, listening to all kinds of music, helping others and visiting with friends and family. She also loved spending time with her beloved dog, Sassy. Sharon was a joy to all of those who met her and lifted the spirits of everyone she encountered. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed by so many whose lives she made brighter.
Sharon is survived by her sisters Pat and Barbara and her children Shannon and Derek.
