Sean David Bushnell, 21, of Lakewood, Colorado, left this earth in the environment he loved, the mountains. He was born on May 15, 2001 in Wheat Ridge, CO, grew up in Lakewood, CO and passed away on his 21st birthday in Boulder, CO.

Sean was a senior, attending the University of Colorado in Boulder, studying Environmental Design & Ecology / Evolutionary Biology. Sean was an Eagle Scout and enjoyed camping and hiking. He hiked up several 14ers with such speed that he was known as the jack rabbit among his fellow scouts. He was proud to have summited Long's Peak last summer. Sean was a graduate of Lakewood High School's IB program and lettered as a member of the varsity tennis team. Sean loved his family dogs, Ramsey & Winston, his 10-year-old rainbow shark and travel. He was easy-going, generally quiet, had a great sense of humor and a kind heart. Sean will be dearly missed.

Sean is survived by his parents, David Arthur and Sally Feeney Bushnell of Lakewood, CO. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jack Francis Feeney of New Orleans, LA, and paternal step-grandmother Deborah Fencl Bushnell of Englewood, CO. Sean leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Helen Lowber Daigle of New Orleans, LA; his paternal grandparents, Dean Arthur Bushnell of Englewood, CO and Jo Ann Bushnell of Denver, CO.

Befitting his interest and study of the environment & biology, Sean was returned to the earth in a gentle & eco-friendly water cremation which will be used to nourish flowers.

A memorial celebration will be planned in the future.
