Kevin Klingelsmith, 63, passed away on August 19, 2022 after a four-month battle with pancreatic and liver cancer. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 31, 1959 to Betty & Gerald Klingelsmith. Kevin worked as a software engineering contractor for the NRCS for 26 years prior to his retirement in January. His retirement plans consisted of doing more of the things he loved: brewing beer, woodworking projects, playing guitar, traveling to find more beer, playing video games with friends, reading, watching and cursing at his favorite sports teams and playing cards and board games with his family.
Kevin is survived by his wife Lynne, son Alex of Loveland, daughter Kori of Omaha, sister Jessica Alley & son Munro of Salt Lake City, brother Kendall Klingelsmith and family Carrie, Brandon & Austin of Petoskey, MI, brother-in-law Gary Blandy and family Danna & Aidan of Norwood, NJ, sister-in-law Janis Morris and family Keith, Chase & Sam of Spring City, PA and mother-in-law Phyllis Blandy of Fort Collins.
In lieu of flowers, please go to your favorite restaurant or drinking establishment and have a meal or drink in his honor. Kevin loved to go out and made sure to tip his servers well so we ask that you do the same. We will have a celebration of life at a later date.
