Ben Jenkins
July 17, 1973 - March 31, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Benjamin “Ben” Jenkins. He was a man with many different hats. He was a son, brother, uncle, friend, goalie, civil engineer, who enjoyed witty banter and a good whiskey.
Ben will be lovingly remembered by his step mother, Audrey Jenkins; brother, Chris Jenkins; sister, Heather Jenkins-Donnelly; brother-from-another-mother, Sean Stinger and his nieces and nephews: Kelly, Brennen, Dylan, Alex, Rylan and Mia. Ben will be dearly missed by many friends and the local hockey community. Ben was predeceased by his mother, JoAnne Jenkins-Hobson and father, James Jenkins.
Ben was born in Yonkers, New York and grew up in Colorado Springs. After high school Ben went to Colorado School of Mines for Civil Engineering and soon was a professional engineer. Ben discovered his love for hockey and decided to try his luck between the pipes where he made many friends. Ben loved being “Uncle Beno” and spending time with his nieces and nephews whether it playing board games, funny Youtube videos (I’m a flamingo), or traveling to cool places to watch hockey games. He enjoyed going out with his many friends to cool bars like Blackbird, Avalanche games, Rockies games, and traveling to new places.
Ben’s time on earth was short, he will continue to live on in our memories. We will miss him immensely.
