Steven Miller
May 2, 1957 - March 31, 2025
Steven Miller, 67, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by the people who loved him the most! After getting a life changing diagnosis of multiple myeloma in 2017, the doctors said would take him out in five years, he fought and fought hard for what would have been 8 years in August 2025. Steven, or Papa Stevo as we liked to call him, was born Steven D. Miller in Greenville, South Carolina to Texas “T-Willa” Miller and Fred Miller on May 2nd, 1957. Steven grew up in Moonville, South Carolina and graduated high school from Woodmont High School in Piedmont, SC. Shortly after graduating, Steven landed a job with WYFF News4 as a cameraman/audiovisual assistant - which is where he spent the next 20+ working years. Steven also worked for Standard Warehouse and ZF Transmissions.
Steven loved cooking, growing peppers, watching westerns (Gunsmoke), and his family. Steven was a stern, strict man, but there was nothing he loved more than his daughter, Amanda!
Steven is survived by his wife; Dena Parris of South Carolina, former wife; Deborah Miller of South Carolina, Tiffany (Amanda) Miller of Colorado, his step children; Jessica Raines, Jonathen Raines, and Jacob Parris of South Carolina, his grandchildren; Adrian, Ahmad, Sarah, Isiah, Oakley, Denver, Dakota and Dalilah of South Carolina and Colorado, his sister Freddie Miller of South Carolina and numerous nieces and nephews.
Steven is preceded in death by his mother and father; T-Willa and Fred Miller as well as his brother, Charles Miller; all of South Carolina.
Message from Dena: Steve Miller was a blessing to me 17 years ago, at the lowest time of my life. He helped me grow as a person and appreciate the thing called Love. He will be greatly missed by us all. We love you and are glad you are at peace, with no more enduring pain. You will be missed dearly. Your wife, Dena.
