Jerry Daniel Keeney
September 5, 1931 - May 6, 2022
It was the morning of May 6th, 2022, at the age of 90, that the kind hearted Jerry died and was reunited with his beloved Peggy, his wife of 59 years. He lived a deeply purposeful life. His loyalty to his family and friends, sense of adventure, justice, peace, nature, education, athleticism, holistic living, humor, gentle spirit, wonder and curiosity defined who he was as a person. He was an avid reader, explorer and lover of the natural world. And, he was just so darn sweet and easily laughed at himself.

Jeremy loved as much as possible, took care of everyone else, was the greatest friend, but also the most respectful, honest, fun-loving man. He loved Jason, Drake, and Dylan, as well as Harley McNally.

Ben Pegler
July 27, 1988 to May 9, 2022
Ben left this life for a more peaceful existence on May 9, 2022. He was born in Rockville, Maryland and had lived in Maryland and Arizona until he decided to move to Colorado in October 2021 to be near his sister and best friend, Marley.

Susan Darlene Laird
July 21, 1960 - April 12, 2022
Susan Darlene Laird (Davis) put up a tough fight with a rare bone marrow cancer after surviving her battle with breast cancer 2 years prior, and went home to be with her Savior on April 12, 2022.

Sarah Suzanne Kubacki
December 18th, 1977 - December 18th, 2021
Sarah Suzanne Kubacki transitioned off this earth on December 18, 2021. 44 years earlier, Sarah entered this world as suddenly as she left it. She was delivered at home by her father, Stanley, before the paramedics could arrive.


Gene Leroyce Kruse
September 2, 1951 - April 21, 2022
Gene passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on April 21st after a sudden illness at the age of 70.
Gene was born in Gothenburg, Nebraska on September 2nd, 1951 to Esther and Wilbert Kruse. The fourth of six children, he was farm raised and lived in Nebraska throughout his youth.

Nora Kathleen Duncan
August 18th, 1949 - April 21, 2022
Nora Kathleen "Kathy" Duncan was born in Richmond, California on August 18th, 1949 to Wynema and Woodrow Duncan. She was the fourth of eight children. Kathy graduated from De Anza High School in Richmond in 1967.

Richard Woods Porter
April 12, 1948 to March 16, 2022
Richard Woods Porter, Dick to those who knew and loved him, was born in Ann Arbor, MI. He followed his brother, Steve who was born exactly six years earlier on the same date! He began his college work at University of Michigan and then headed west to Oregon to complete his Masters. Soon after, Colorado called his name.

Dan Doane Barker
Dan Doane Barker passed this week at age 65. Dan was born in Texas to Dan and Joanne Barker. He and his sister, Lynn moved to Colorado when he was in grade school. They lived in Evergreen, where he developed a deep love of the mountains.
